Indeed.jobs is Indeed's recruitment hub. I was the lead designer responsible for redesigning the UX and UI of the site.

Indeed.jobs is where Indeed lists jobs at Indeed. It's a vital resource as it not only 'sells' the company, but allows interested candidates to easily apply.
The existing site had been piecemealed together over time which resulted in a confusing and fragmented user experience. A complete overhaul of the structure of the site was needed, including the microsites nested within.
THE PROBLEM
The site had been built over a number of years with no planning or coordination. It was confusing to navigate, with dead links and a confusing user flow. The UI was dated, inconsistent, and unrepresenative of Indeed's brand. The site needed to be completely restructured and redesigned.
PROJECT GOALS
- Make it easier for users to find jobs and other content they need by reorganising the site structure.
- Reduce the overall amount of pages by embedding relevant info within individual job post pages.
- Create a cohesive experience by aligning with the new brand guidelines as well as the indeed.com product.
- Reflect Indeed's commitment to diversity and inclusion by allocating an entire page for that content.
THE APPROACH
After researching other global tech companies' employee recruitment websites, we began reorganising the existing experience to be more streamlined. We created customer journey maps, wireframes, and low fidelity prototypes. We conducted user testing to understand what users expected to see on a careers site.
For the design itself my team and I took a modular approach to create the pages using elements from our recently created design system, ensuring consistency across Indeed's sites and products.
The handoff process to the developer was highly detailed, requiring extensive feedback to ensure the live website closely matched the designs within our timeframe.
